The Official Squeeze Website

New Old Music and New New Music!

We’re just about to embark on a massive run of live dates, probably bigger than anything we’ve done in recent years. Kick-starting Glastonbury was certainly a highlight, but only the first of more than 70 shows we’re playing over the rest of 2024, from UK festivals, to our USA and Canada tour with Boy George or The Beat joining us, plus the huge 50th anniversary UK shows later this year.

For those of you with a keen ear, you may have heard a new song at some of our very recent shows – or maybe Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook speaking about something called “Trixie’s” in various interviews and articles. Well, we thought we’d let you know what it’s all about.

“Trixie’s” is a collection of songs from 50 years ago, a ‘lost’ Squeeze album if you will, that the band are revisiting and recording with producer (and Squeeze bass player) Owen Biddle.

As that creative process unfolded, brand new songs arose, which are also being recorded – the new song being played live, “One Beautiful Summer”, is one of these recent tracks.

If your question is, “When will either of these two new albums be released?”, our honest answer is, “We don’t know!”… but at this stage that is unlikely to be in 2024.

We’ve been getting a few questions by email and on social media, and figured you’d want to know where things are heading. We’ll keep you updated as we know more, and sorry we don’t have any more definitive news just yet, but we can 100% confirm we are actively working on new material that will be with you just as soon as it’s ready!

We look forward to seeing a whole lot of you over the coming months on tour, there are still tickets available for shows in (nearly) all locations, so do check the dates on this website if you haven’t got your tickets already.

Finally, don’t forget our “Christmas in July” sale at the official Squeeze online store, where we’re offering 20% off most items for the entire month. No codes needed, just shop away, and get gig-ready with some new Squeeze merch!
